KFC Zinger Price Matches McSpicy

I haven't eaten KFC's Zinger in a long time. For its price, it wasn't the best value for a premium fast food sandwich. The KFC Double Down and the later KFC Double Decker were even better values among KFC's menu items. Enter McDonald's McSpicy. Priced at 80 pesos, it was way below the Zinger's price of 112 pesos. KFC had no choice but to respond and consequently they dropped the price to 80 pesos as well. Why couldn't they do this before? How much of a profit did they really need to make with the Zinger? Not very good with your consumers, KFC.
